Military Tests Insect-Sized Spy Bots
Some [robots] will be ground based. They'll crawl or walk. They might be deployed inside a building to map out hallways. Others will be airborne and they'll be conducting surveillance and planting sensors.
10 May 2008: A group of U.S. Marines hunker down beside a building, enemy fire coming at them from somewhere up ahead. One soldier reaches into his pack and pulls out a few robots that look like large bugs. The bots fly down the street, sending back images that show where the enemy troops are hiding, how many there are and what weapons they're using.
That's not all. In the same data stream, the robots also send back an audio recording of what the snipers are saying, along with infrared pictures. Armed with the real-time surveillance information, the Marines can maneuver out from under the attack and get to safety.

Undersheriff apologizes to Muslims for terror drill
Once again, CAIR shows where their concern lies...
10 May 2008: A Montgomery County sheriff’s official has apologized for making a fake mosque the focus of an emergency preparedness drill.
On Friday, the Council on American-Islamic Relations thanked Undersheriff Rick Robbins for his apology.
Robbins helped plan the May 1 exercise in Irving, which designated a recovery center as “Irving Mosque,” where suspected terrorists had set off explosives, taken hostages and released nerve gas. Nearly 30 government agencies participated in the drill.

U.S. Soldiers Learning Arabic at Wahhabist Islamic Saudi Academy
There are no grey areas in Saudi schools, it is all black and white and it is all reinforced in classroom assignments, papers and homework.
By Cinnamon Stillwell
10 May 2008: According to the Mount Vernon Gazette, twenty-two soldiers from Fort Belvoir in Fairfax, Virginia just graduated from the nearby Islamic Saudi Academy's "Arabic as a Second Language" program, where they also learned about "Middle Eastern culture and traditions."
While this would sound fairly harmless on the surface (and Arabic language instruction is certainly needed in the U.S. military), it turns out this school has Wahhabi skeletons in its closet.

Muslim 9-1-1 dispatcher arrested for unauthorized access of government databases
8 May 2008: The FBI charged Nadire ZELENAJ, a 9-1-1 dispatcher in Rochester, (Monroe County) New York with 232 counts of computer trespassing for unauthorized access of law enforcement sensitive databases containing information about terrorist suspects and related investigations.
ZELENAJ, pictured at left, also allegedly accessed other secure databases containing proprietary data, including but not limited to New York State drivers license data.
According to information provided by sources exclusive to the Northeast Intelligence Network, ZELENAJ is part of a larger investigation involving at least ten-(10) others, some who are members of a local Islamic Center. Based on a law enforcement source close to he investigation and speaking on the strict condition of anonymity, the information obtained by ZELENAJ was obtained for a "specific purpose," which was allegedly to "inform and assist area individuals with suspected ties to known terrorists or terrorist organizations." According to media reports, ZELENAJ accessed the computer databases at least 232 times since 2006, but her activities reportedly span a much longer time period dating back to 2003.
Hired in 2002, her position as a 9-1-1 dispatcher enables her to access secured police databases, including those containing sensitive information on terrorism suspects and data of investigative value. Based on information provided to the Northeast Intelligence Network, other arrests related to ZELENAJ are likely. Investigation is also addressing how much damage to other investigations might have been caused by her unauthorized disclosure of sensitive data.
The law enforcement source confirmed that ZELENAJ "is Muslim with direct and tangential ties to the Muslim community."
The Northeast Intelligence Network will continue to follow this matter closely.

The more effective campaigns being conducted by our enemy in this war are not necessarily those of bombs and bullets. They are being fought in the classrooms and courtrooms, through media manipulation, and the revision of policies and procedures within strategic domestic strongholds. Our enemy has gained more ground by victories in those venues than they could ever have gained on any battlefield. -- Doug Hagmann
1 May 2008: You’ve got to decide what you are willing to die for. Perhaps it is fortunate that this statement does not actively apply – at least not in its most immediate and operative form - to the vast majority of Americans today. It is indeed applicable, however, to those who are most visibly and actively engaged in the battle against Islamic terrorism.
The war against Islamic terrorism is being fought on a number of levels. There is the actual and most visible component of the war that is being fought by our military in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are the more covert military and intelligence components there and in other, lesser known theaters of operation. There is the component that is being fought here, within our homeland, by our domestic intelligence and law enforcement agencies. And then there is the war that is being fought here, but in the shadows.
The battles taking place in the shadows, although lesser known and not well recognized, are perhaps causing and taking on the most casualties. It is this component of the war where men are separated from boys, and where difficult and life changing decisions are made by people of honor, integrity and courage. Men like Brad Thor, the author of the best selling book The First Commandment and his upcoming book The Last Patriot.
I’ve had the privilege to speak with Mr. Thor, and though our conversations, got to know him beyond the biographical synopsis on dust jacket of his book. He is a great example of a formidable warrior in the larger war being fought domestically, a fact that was pointed out by radio and television talk show host Glenn Beck. During that interview last March, and making reference to the agenda of Islamists in America contained in his upcoming book, Glenn Beck spoke of a private conversation he had with Mr. Thor about personal security. It was during that conversation when both agreed that it is important to decide what you are willing to die for.

28 April 2008: Imagine standing in front of St. Patrick's Cathedral in NY, as the writer points out, and suddenly being grabbed by a group of goons in karate suits, dragged to the basement of the church, and grilled like you just urinated in the baptismal bowl. That is essentially what happened to three people in Brooklyn, except they were photographing the well-known Masjid At-Taqwa, a mosque with ties to radical Muslims.

Fraud Scene Investigator - Insight
23 April 2008: Although not strictly considered a homeland security issue, the following article about a forensic accountant provides a bit of insight into the world of a fraud scene investigator. The article is relevant to the investigators of the Northeast Intelligence Network and its parent company, Hagmann Investigative Services, Inc., in a number of ways. The Northeast Intelligence Network and our associated companies are comprised of investigative professionals, including those involved in the investigation of large-scale fraud activities.
Unlike the largely anonymous Internet "bloggers" with unverifiable or even dubious experience, credentials and backgrounds, and those who use pseudonyms to hide their identities, investigators with the Northeast Intelligence Network do not engage in such tactics. Much like our objectives and investigative activities, our identities and qualifications are available for public scrutiny. Our investigations serve to expose perpetrators engaged in activities that could be considered a threat to our security, and the safety and security of our friends, neighbors and families in this and subsequent generations.
For instance, consider the money trail of Islamic charities suspected of providing material support to terrorism, and our exclusive investigation of the Binghamton, NY charity tied to the terrorist group Jamaat ul-Fuqra. Such investigations are complex, intense, and at times, full of unexpected surprises. Where large sums of money are involved, some surprises could turn potentially deadly, as the following article indicates.

UPDATE: USF Students Mohamed and Megahed Charged in New 7-Count Superseding Indictment

19 April 2008: On Wednesday of this past week United States Attorney Robert E. O'Neill announced the filing of a seven count superseding indictment against University of South Florida students Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif MOHAMED and Youssef Samir MEGAHED. The Kuwait-born Egyptian MOHAMED is charged in all seven counts. Megahed is charged with counts three and four.
It would it most instructive to remind the reader that Ahmed Bedier, the executive director of the Tampa, Florida chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), offered very shortly after the arrest in Goose Creek, South Carolina of MOHAMED and MEGAHED the abortive disarming comment that both were just “really naïve kids.” Bunk Mr. Bedier, pure, unadulterated bunk. These two adult men are Islamic jihadists in the purest sense of the word. They are no different than “enemy combatants” plucked from the soil of Afghanistan, and that they were plucked from the soil of South Carolina makes them Islamic insurgents on American soil. 16 April 2008: Jimmy Carter is an evil man. It is painful to label a past president of the United States as a force for darkness. But it is dangerous to let a man like Jimmy Carter stalk around the globe cloaked in the garb of American royalty, planting the seeds of Western civilization's destruction.
On Tuesday, former President Carter met with leaders of the terrorist group Hamas. He embraced Nasser al-Shaer, the man who has run the Palestinian education system, brainwashing children into believing Jews are the descendants of pigs and dogs. He laid a wreath at the grave of Yasser Arafat, the most notorious terrorist thug of the 20th century. Then, he had the audacity to offer to act as a conduit between the Palestinian Arabs and the Israeli and U.S. governments.
