12 October 2009; An explosion Thursday at the Ihsan School of Excellence, a private Islamic school on West Onondaga Street in Syracuse, New York is under investigation by fire officials. The explosion reportedly happened in an unused area of the basement of the school, and forced the evacuation of at least 75 people from the building.
Fire officials are expected to make public their findings this morning.
